AAPG DPA President-Elect
Charles Sternbach started his career at Shell Western E&P in Houston, in the U.S. mid-continent areas of Michigan, Illinois, Arkansas and Oklahoma, and West Texas areas, as a staff geologist. During his career at Shell he was a lead geologist for the West Texas Permian Basin group, and the Lodgepole-Mississippian reef play in the Williston Basin.
Charles then joined Jordan Oil and Gas, based in California, as Houston Exploration Manager in 1997. A proven oil finder, Sternbach is credited with finding a dozen new fields collectively while at at Shell, with Jordan Oil and Gas, and as an independent (Texas and Michigan). Today, he is President of two separate independent exploration companies with oil and gas leases covering 50,000 acres.
